Consultant ENT & Otolaryngology Specialist – Medico-Legal Expert

Remote | Part-Time / Full-Time Flexible

A well-established and respected UK-based medical firm is seeking experienced Consultant ENT or Otolaryngology Specialists to join its national panel of expert witnesses. You will play a key role in delivering CPR 35-compliant medico-legal reports and remote clinical assessments in a wide range of personal injury, clinical negligence, and civil/family court cases.

This is a remote, flexible opportunity designed for practising NHS and private ENT consultants who want to apply their clinical expertise in a medico-legal setting—backed by a dedicated administrative and clinical support team.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct remote consultations with clients via secure video or telephone
• Assess ENT-related conditions and deliver clear, defensible medical opinions for legal use
• Write high-quality, structured medico-legal reports in line with CPR 35 and legal best practices
• Provide comprehensive medico-legal opinions on:
• ENT-related injuries, complications, and conditions
• Capacity and fitness assessments
• Clinical risk, causation, and standard of care
• Treatment outcomes and compliance with medical law
• Civil and family court medical evaluations
• Liaise with legal professionals to support claims with clinical insight and respond to Part 35 questions where needed
• Maintain accurate, professional, and compliant medical documentation
• Where required, provide court-ready expert testimony

Requirements:

• GMC-registered Consultant ENT Specialist (ST7+), actively practising in both NHS and private sectors
• Proven experience producing CPR 35-compliant medico-legal reports (not essential, as training is provided) 
• Strong diagnostic, procedural, and analytical skills in ENT & Otolaryngology
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfortable working remotely and using secure digital platforms
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver impartial, defensible medical opinions
